    Yugo Cartuja Residence

    Yugo Cartuja Residence
Thanks to our successful experience in executing residences, Mobenia was selected to create one of the latest for the developer Straco Real Estate Iberia (formerly Life ES) and the operator Yugo; an internationally specialized student accommodation company with over 70 residences in more than 9 countries around the world.

Yugo Cartuja, recently inaugurated, was built on the demolished NATO pavilion of the Expo 92 within the Isla de la Cartuja, an area near the center that has undergone a spectacular renovation in recent years. The building, adjacent to the engineering faculty of the University of Seville (ETSI), features a rationalist aesthetic of pure lines highlighted by the contrast of concrete with the blue-tinted slats of its large windows.

The global equipment project includes 232 new rooms, all equipped with a kitchen and a private bathroom. With a common aesthetic, you can choose from different typologies (with balcony, terrace, or window) and each one comes with furniture and appliances.

The common areas are another highlight of this impressive project and demonstrate the overflowing creativity of the design team at BM2 DROMMAR arquitectos, who put themselves in the shoes of the student when designing spaces to be lived in and enjoyed collectively. The meeting tables isolated with large curtains, the use of vibrant colors in the library or cinema room, the coatings of its cozy cafeteria… every corner has been carefully designed to enhance the university experience.

The Yugo Cartuja project has been a great opportunity to reinforce, validate, and demonstrate our extensive production capacity, results orientation, and commitment to addressing large-scale projects that require an extra dose of adaptation and proactivity in each of their phases. Without a doubt, an unforgettable experience in which we have fully immersed ourselves and which has allowed us to feel especially proud of our work.

    We’re moving on!
